Description:


We are a family run cow/calf operation running about 1,000 head of mother cows and 300 head of replacement yearlings. We have an opening for an all around ranch hand starting mid March. Ranch and equipment experience preferred.



Position Details:

- Location: Southeastern Montana

- Operation Size: Approximately 1,000 mother cows and 300 replacement heifers

- Duties Include:

- Fencing and maintaining pastures

- Assisting with calving

- Feeding and cow work

- Haying and other essential ranch tasks





What We Offer:

- Housing: A new three-bedroom, two-bathroom home

- Pasture: Space provided for personal working horses

- Pets: Negotiable

- Environment: Remote setting; a four-wheel drive vehicle is necessary for access

- Community: An hour from Broadus, about two hours from Sheridan/Miles City/Gillette

- Beef and/or Pork



Who We’re Looking For:

- An individual who can contribute to all aspects of ranch work

- Couples and families are encouraged to apply! While this position is for one person, there are opportunities for additional day labor.



Important Notes.

-We ask all potential employees to come visit the ranch before making a commitment.

-This is a Ranch Hand position, not solely a cowboy job.

-We use both ATVs and horses to move cattle and use a calf table for a majority of brandings.

-We do not use dogs on our cattle.

-This is not a seasonal position
