This is a full-time, temporary position from mid-June to late August, offering a unique opportunity to work in a breathtaking ranch setting. The ideal candidate would be a couple, possibly retired, at least one with prior culinary experience. A single person will be considered, with an assistant to be determined. A passion for home-cooked meals, an understanding of hearty ranch-style cuisine, and the ability to be flexible required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Plan, prepare, and serve two meals per day (lunch, and dinner) for anywhere from two to approximately 15 people, in a commercial sized, fully equipped kitchen. - Create menus with the ranch owner’s guidance and suggestion on a weekly basis featuring fresh, nutritious, and satisfying meals that align with the tastes of the family and guests. - Source (shop in Prescott) and manage groceries and supplies, staying within a budget framework (reimbursement provided). - Handle kitchen prep, cooking, and cleaning duties, ensuring the kitchen and dining areas remain organized, clean, and well-maintained. - Accommodate dietary restrictions, food allergies, or special requests as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: - Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a residential or ranch setting. - Strong knowledge of meal planning, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices. - Ability to work independently and efficiently in a rural environment with limited access to conveniences in town. - Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing schedules or guest numbers. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - A positive, friendly demeanor and strong communication skills.
