Ranch/Farm Hand position available at an exciting operation in southwest North Dakota, just miles from Montana and South Dakota. This operation uses modern equipment (cattle and farm) to maximize time and energy. This is a family ranch that values the support and input from valued employees. Position provides daily input and works daily with Herdsman and/or owner. 350+ cow/calf pairs, 2300 acres of small grains and 2000 acres of hay land. We utilize many forms of technology to support our efforts some of these include: Cattlemax herd management software, solar wells, well/tank cameras, yard and barn cameras, 701x tags, virtual fence, GPS systems, in addition to portable Arrowquip cattle handling facilities. Duties may include but not limited to: Calving duties, herd health management, fence building, daily feeding, maintenance duties, running modern equipment (Loader tractor, baler, windrower, air drill, semi, combine) and mechanic work as needed. Seeking a long term, reliable, motivated person that is willing to work with others and alone. On site housing (14 miles from town and on a bus route) and most utilities are included in compensation. Must have clean and valid driver’s license. Total compensation dependent on skills and experience. Two years of experience desired.
