12 gentle Salers steers for sale from our herd that has been closed since 1986. They are averaging around 450 pounds. Also 12 gentle Salers heifers averaging 400 pounds. These calves have been eating free choice grass hay and 3 pounds of corn apiece. They are super green,bunk broke, healthy, and ready to take off and grow. In previous years when we have finished them out and sold them on the rail they averaged 3.5 pounds daily gain and a 5 to 1 dry matter feed conversion. All were yield grade 1 and 2 and approximately 70 percent were choice. We had an average of $40 a head in on the rail bonuses as well. Available now. $3.00 per pound.
