Description:
Central Nebraska feed yard is looking to hire individuals seeking long term employment for our animal health crew.

*Duties include, but not limited to:

- Checking pens and pulling sick cattle. Done either horse back or on a 4-wheeler depending on the individuals preference

- Doctoring sick cattle according to set protocols

- Maintaining and fixing fences

- Maintaining, cleaning, and fixing water tanks

-Recieving and processing new cattle

- Re-implanting cattle

- Shipping fat cattle

- Conducting pen moves as needed

- Cleaning and up keep of hospital facility, processing facilities, and horse barn

- Will assist in all other areas of feed lot as needed. Applicants will be expected to be flexible and willing to do whatever jobs they are given for the day. This is not a full-time "cowboy" position.

* Basic computer skills helpful with technology based doctoring and processing.

* Experience with cattle and the detection of sick cattle is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. Looking to hire individuals that can ensure that cattle are handled using low stress livestock handling principles and in a safe and efficient manner.

* Wanting to fill full-time positions, but would consider part-time help for highly qualified individuals who can provide beneficial hours within our typical work schedule.

* Good communication skills and the ability to be a team player are an absolute must.

* Must be insurable in company vehicles, so a clean driving record is a must.

* This is a family friendly operation with competitive wages and benefits. Housing potentially available for the right individual. Income will be dependent on experience, references and interview. Job interview plus references are required. Will not hire over the phone.
