Job Opening: Guide – Little Jennie Ranch, Bondurant, Wyoming



Little Jennie Ranch Outfitters is looking for a dedicated Guide to join our team! Based in beautiful Western Wyoming, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a working cattle ranch, leading guests on unforgettable adventures while maintaining a high standard of safety, integrity, and customer service. We are hoping to hire guides for our winter snowmobile and sleigh ride season with the opportunity to stay on as a full time guide with our 4 season outfitting service.

Key Responsibilities:

Winter:

Client Interaction: Engage with the public and provide top-notch customer service, representing the values of Little Jennie Ranch.

Fall & Winter Trail Rides: We will be running trail rides as long as weather allows and need folks who are able to teach and guide safe and enjoyable rides.

Sleigh Rides & Feeding: We not only take guests out on horse-driven sleigh rides, but we also feed our cattle herd using teams. We are looking for folks who are excited and experienced running a team and want to join our cattle crew in caring for our herd.

Snowmobile Tours: We guide snowmobile tours almost every day into our historic cabin. We are looking for folks with experience running snowmobiles, maintaining snowmobile trails, and guiding guests outside in the winter. Additionally, our whole team is expected to help run our trips which includes prep and maintenance of our cabin as well as helping serve our meals up at the historic cabin.

Farmers Market: In addition to our normal routine of cattle and guest operations at the ranch, we also sell our beef locally. Our whole team is expected to represent the ranch and go to town for our monthly markets to sell beef and talk about our guest services.

Ranch Chores: Our entire team is expected to pitch into all the chores that make the ranch run. These include: care for our animals, plowing, shoveling, maintenance of our equipment, and general tidiness of the ranch.

Skijor: The Little Jennie Ranch hosts a skijor race every March. Our whole team is expected to prepare and put on the skijor and represent the ranch during this weekend event.





Year Round Guiding Job:

Horse Care: Daily care and maintenance of horses, ensuring they are well-fed, groomed, and ready for trail rides and pack trips.

Guiding Horseback Trail Rides: Lead horseback rides through scenic landscapes, including day trips, overnights, and extended stays at our base camp. We try to emphasize teaching western horsemanship and cowboy traditions through all our rides.

Guiding Pack Trips: Plan and guide multi-day pack trips, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests.

Ride and Fly Fishing Trips: Execute day trips where clients ride to one or more fishing locations on and around the ranch.

Camp Management and Trail Maintenance: Turn over the base camp after each stay, ensuring it is clean, stocked, and ready for the next guests. Building, maintaining, and cutting our trails for day trips, pack trips, hunting, and snowmobile season is also a part of our work.

Additional Duties: Perform cooking duties as needed, maintain outfitter vehicles, and assist with other tasks that support ranch operations, including participation in local farmers markets.

Living Quarters Provided: Accommodations are available on-site for the successful candidate.

Seasonal Position: This role offers a dynamic work environment with a variety of responsibilities across seasons. Position has the opportunity to become full-time.
