Thank you so much to everyone that inquired. We truly appreciate all the interest. Flying T Ranch is looking for a dependable ranch hand to join our family ranch in Southern Oregon. We are about 35 miles from Klamath Falls. We are blessed to live in a beautiful area with gorgeous scenery, mountains and valleys, trees and water. There are plenty of recreational opportunities in our area as well from hunting and fishing to hiking and exploring. We are a cow/calf operation that runs around 500 cows along with yearlings and bulls. We do most of cattle work with four wheelers although horses are okay. We also have a side business of selling beef. This is a hands-on job where you could be operating farm equipment, maintaining and repairing equipment, running flood irrigation, feeding livestock, helping with calving season and cattle vaccinations through the year, making hay, transporting livestock, keeping the shop organized while helping with daily operations and maintenance of a ranch. Welding skills are a plus too! You must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. We are looking for someone hard working, honest, reliable, willing to work with others and alone and with a good attitude. A perfect fit for us would be a motivated person who has a passion for the ranching lifestyle and preferably someone who can perform basic repairs on ranch equipment. Calving experience would be ideal as well. Jobs duties may include but are not limited to : Feeding cows shop jobs (welding, cleaning, vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs) Calving (cold weather calving experience preferred) Irrigating (all flood irrigation) Branding and vaccinating cattle Stock trailering cows to and from summer pastures and to the slaughterhouse Making hay (cutting, raking, baling, and hauling hay off fields (round bales), repairing broken equipment) General ranch maintenance Salary is negotiable and depends on skill/experience This could be a full time position for the right person or family or part time depending on what fits your needs and exactly how you’d like to fit into our operation.
