Atlas... I absolutely adore this horse and I know you will too. If you’re looking for a gentle gelding for absolutely anyone. This is your guy. Built like an absolute Mac truck, shy of about 1300 pounds, wearing a size 1 shoe. He is the most stunning red horse you’ll lay eyes on. Please don’t pass him up just because he doesn’t have some fancy color. When you see his big blaze, his chest that is about as wide as one can get and his calm demeanor you’re going to fall in love. Atlas stands about 15.1/2 hands tall I will tape to confirm. Grade 14yo. Do not let his size fool you. He is SOOO easy to ride. So easy to handle. He’s a gentle giant. I would have no hesitation putting anyone from a young kid, to your grandma on him. He’s got the most smooth gaits you’ll ever ride. Slow trot, slow collected lope. Stops nice, turns around. He goes thru anything and everything. He dominated the trail course. With a wealth of trail experience, Atlas has conquered challenging obstacles like steep hills, logs, flags, tarps, confined spaces, bridges, and water crossings. Hes calm and composed in the face of potentially spooking situations, having stood firm while sorting wild horses, dragging them into the trailer and sorting them with a flag. Atlas is the perfect partner for adventurous trail riders who need a reliable and trustworthy companion. I truly cannot say enough good things about him. This gelding is wayyyy more on the woah side, does not have a lot of go. Not a performance speed demon. Great to haul, loads up stands quietly in the trailer, doesn’t move a muscle even on windy roads. Bathes, fly sprays, stands tied for extended periods of time. Tacks up quiet, bridles easy, stands to mount. Great with other horses. He’s a very big horse, he does better with a larger pen or pasture, he’s just too big to stand in a stall and not be able to move around. Great for the farrier, small dogs. I’d love for him to be a first horse, lesson home, trail partner or even for someone that just needs to build confidence he will take care of you every step of the way and wants the love and attention. I was told the previous owner had him since he was 2yo, which would make me only his second owner. If that tells doesn’t tell you something about him I don’t know what will!
