Cats Rita Ballou, known in the barn as Rita, is an absolutely breathtaking bay roan filly. She is the perfect size, standing at 14.1hh. Rita has picture perfect confirmation; she is definitely the ideal quarter horse! Her disposition is the kind that everyone wants and is very hard to find. She is so kind, willing and gentle, whether you are on the ground or in the saddle.

Rita’s training is outstanding. She has been in good hands her whole life. Her education started as a 2yr old. She was trained and shown at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. Rita spent her 4yr old year doing ranch work and covering country. Her 5yr old year has been a mix of everything, from ranch work to trail riding and showing.

Rita travels very smoothly, with a great walk, trot and lope. She transitions through her gait with ease and has great lead changes. Rita is good with traffic, loads in a stock or slant trailer, stands great for the vet and farrier. She loves to be pampered, bathed, and groomed. Rita sells 100% sound with clean x-rays.

Rita’s pedigree speaks for itself. She is an own daughter of Bet Hesa Cat, LTE $272,151 NCHA Open World Champion; NCHA Open World Champion Stallion. Sire of 588 money earners totaling excess of $8,044,631 and earners of 2,498 AQHA points. Her dam, Short An Acre, has earned $11,028 in NCHA earnings and is the daughter of Bob Acre Doc, LTE $426,136 in NCHA earnings, NCHA Open and Non-Pro World Champion, Two time NCHA Open World Champion Stallion and Sire of 427 money earners, winning in excess of $10.5 million.
