Meet Pickles, a versatile 7 year old ApHC registered gelding standing at 14.3 hands. Pickles has been a cherished part of our family for nearly five years!

Pickles is BROKE! He has a true, one-handed neck rein with an impressive stop. Picks up his leads with ease, moves off leg pressure and collects up nicely. He stays soft in your hands and light in the bridle. Side passes to open gates, bends and flexes. A really fun horse to ride and safe for ANYONE!

He spent about four years navigating the rugged mountains of Idaho, where he was a trusty companion on elk hunts and the perfect beginner’s trail mount, (especially for kids!). Pickles has enjoyed beach rides in Florida and catching cows in the Midwest. He would be a great addition to a lesson program or a fun 4H project. With his kind nature and gentle demeanor, Pickles is the perfect kids/beginners horse.

He’s a farrier’s dream, standing perfectly for shoeing, though he has also been barefoot without any issues. Pickles is a friendly gelding, loves attention and being groomed. An absolute gentleman to saddle and stands quietly to be mounted, he will not rush you to get on. He greets you at the fence, very easy to catch. Zero bad habit, up to date on routine maintenances and in great health.

Pickles is ready for his next adventure: whether it’s more mountain trails, beach rides, or simply being a beloved family horse!
