Haying: No Room And Board: Required Phone#: 9702758752 click to view fullsize image Description: My name is Ryetta, I’ll be 20 years old in April and I’m currently looking for a full time position ideally around northwest Wyoming. I was raised on a large cow/calf operation in western Colorado and recently spent about 6 months apprenticing under a farrier in north central Texas. I’ve spent my life in the ranching scene and I am looking for a position where I can apply my knowledge and continue learning. I have experience with the fundamentals of beef cattle, between calving, branding, moving, sorting, and a basic understanding of sicknesses and medicine. I also have 3 years of experience with the retail side of beef, butchering, sales, primal and retail cuts, etc. I’m confident on a horse in all types of country and weather, and I am accustomed to long days in the saddle. I’m comfortable on young horses and have experience breaking my own colts. I’ve roped in the branding pen, but I have lots of room to learn and improve as far as roping in an open area. I was raised spending summers up at cow camp so I’m no stranger to being hours from town, having minimal cell service/electricity, etc. I would like to find a position on some sort of cattle operation or any type of wrangler/guest ranch job. My long term goals include training ranch horses and continuing to grow my own herd of cattle, so ideally I am looking for any position that allows me to learn more in both of those areas and improve my skills. I work well independently or as part of a team and I am honest about what I do or don’t know and my abilities, but I love to learn new things and I am very dedicated to doing my best with the task at hand always figuring out a way to get things done! I would need housing or RV hookups for a camper and have one well-behaved dog. If possible I would also love to bring a couple of personal horses.
