Raised and trained by Tania Morton of The Complete Horsemanship Program. Offered by Joel and Sarah Bowman of Westbound Marketing. Ladybug is pure perfection in our books. Let’s talk personality and demeanor to begin with. Ladybug is whole heartedly kind, personable and gentle. She loves attention, but is never pushy about acquiring it. She will meet you at the gate and will melt your heart with her precious soul. She is easy to catch and is always well mannered and quiet. She is the same horse in any setting regardless of commotion or rider ability. She has never put a foot wrong or acted out of line in any way. She can sit without getting fresh and has ever in any form or fashioned offered to buck or act in any ill mannered way.

Ladybug’s list of can-do’s and accomplishments are long and distinguished. First and foremost she is a finished ranch riding horse and is seasoned in the show pen. In accompaniment with this she is also a lovely trail horse, a great ranch horse, can be team roped off of on either end, will cut a cow, has been youth rodeoed and youth ranch rodeoed on, goes english as well as western AND is always absolutely gentle. She is youth and adult suitable, in fact she is our entire family’s barn favorite!

In the show pen Ladybug has been shown at open, amateur and youth levels in all manner of ranch riding classes as well as cattle classes and showmanship classes. She has a great APHA and ARHA show record including being among the top 5 at the ARHA world championship in 2023. She is a stunning and fluid mover and is highly trained in all of the reining maneuvers. She is show pen ready now, no tuning needed and is in a position to expand her show record if you wish into the english discipline as well.

During Ladybug’s time here with us at Westbound Marketing starting in April of this year we have only expanded on her can-do list and have enjoyed our time with her so much. We have used her on the ranch and furthered her experience in the roping pen as well as her cattle work, have ridden her under english tack, have kept her tuned for the show pen, have exposed her to the barrels and poles in the rodeo arena and have ranch rodeoed on her. Our whole family enjoys her including our 6 year old daughter who regularly asks us to pull the dummy for her so she can rope on Ladybug. She also has enjoyed patterning her on the barrels and poles and has hauled her to multiple of her youth rodeos and competed on her. She has also hauled her to her youth ranch rodeos(TYRRA). She has been competed on in the junior, intermediate and senior divisions of this association.

Ladybug’s versatility is a testimony to her amazing mindset. She is the same horse every time she is caught and is always gentle without fail. I wouldn’t hesitate to put anyone on her, I trust her whole heartedly. She is also grandma approved on the trail! Of course she’s been on many trail rides, but my mother came to visit and when we went for a ride I didn’t hesitate to choose Ladybug for her mount because I knew she would keep her safe and we would be without concern. Our kids have also ridden her bareback and swam the pond with her. She will ride out alone or in a group and is not spooky, flighty or sour in any way.

Ladybug has had one foal and is a great mother which makes her the entire package! Ride her, show her and breed her! A mare of her caliber will certainly make a lovely addition to your APHA performance breeding program.

The program that Ladybug was raised and trained in, The Complete Horsemanship Program, out of North Carolina has been competing and training for 20 years in ranch versatility and reining with multiple ARHA and APHA championships. It is a phenomenal program and we are proud to have had the opportunity to own, further and offer a horse that has been through a program that produces such great results. Ladybug has been in great hands her entire life and will no doubt please anywhere she goes.With well over 40 minutes of collective video to watch on Ladybug we feel you’ll come to know her and love her as we do. Her videos will show you her versatility as well as her nature. We do have a pre-purchase exam including radiographs on file that was done when we purchased her. She is sound and healthy in every way.
