Born 5-20-24. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we decided to go with a space theme. Many of these names are a little loose in thoughts regarding if they are planets, stars, or things found in space. This filly is named Haumea. Discovered in 2004, Haumea is a dwarf planet discovered beyond Neptune’s orbit. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we only had interns until the middle of June and are currently without any which we usually have through December of each year. Therefore, we have been delayed with getting our 34 foals on the website & Facebook. Please be patient with us. We know many folks have been messaging and calling. We won’t have any additional help with halter breaking this fall and are pricing all colts and fillies for the same price of $2000 each with $2250 if they are colored with cream, gray or roan. We will honor the 10% discount for repeat and multiple buyers. We reserve the right to keep which we want for ourselves and to keep some at a higher price. Halter training will be basic and gentled but not to the same degree some of you may be used to. They will be weaned and eating good for 2 weeks. Genetic testing will be sent in but will be listed as pending for those with no results yet. Whoop Up Whiskey has a 50/50 chance as GBED carrier; TRR Paddys Texas Gin has a 50/50 chance as HERDA carrier; and handful of mares with have a 50/50 chance as either one or both of those two disorders. ‘Haumea’ is a solid brown roan filly. Her dam, Paddys Gin Kiara JW aka Kiara, is a dark bay mare. Through a color test, it was revealed she can never produce a red foal. She is very stylish. We purchased her dam, Little Sapa, fall of 2009 knowing she would make a nice match for any of our stallions and hoping for her to produce fillies with a little more speed for us to retain in our program and cross back on the other stallions. We have kept back two of her daughters by other stallions who have also entered the broodmare bunch; Sapa Mia Reed JW and Sapa Hula Drift JW. Take a good look at the speed pedigree on Kiara’s bottom side. According to Circle Dot Horses, Mia Cash Too was a gentle, AAA Stakes Placed Winner with a nice disposition who ran the 3rd fastest qualifying time in the All-American Derby and sired foals that went on to be race horses, barrel horses, arena horses and also had plenty of cow. Little Sapa leaves Dash For Cash on Kiara’s papers and also gives her Three Bars and Jet Deck through both Easy Jet and Jet Smooth. Kiara’s sire is TRR Paddys Texas Gin. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. Kiara will have all the right moves to go any direction in the cowhorse world from cutting, reining, versatility, reined cowhorse, rodeo performance, or just all around ranch horse. Don’t forget the speed/cow and agility pedigree Kiara carries top and bottom! We are excited to keep another "Tex" daughter back for our own program. She is a sweet nice girl that we are extremely happy with. Her 2021 foal, Thistle Bartender JW, is sold and in MT. Haumea’s sire is Jacks Our Bartender a son of Bartenders Memory by Two ID Bartender and out of a granddaughter of Two Eyed Jack, Watch Miss Jo Jackie, born in 2003. Unfortunately, due to a stifle injury from being kicked by a mare, Jack was not able to stay sound enough to enter the show ring but was able to prove his athletic ability. Since then several of his colts have ended up in the roping arena and continue to prove their athleticism and great minds. By 2015 Hockenson’s realized that he was producing some really great roping horses and decided to see if they could keep his stifle sound enough to show and sure enough in a very short time, he quickly earned 5.5 AQHA Heading Points of his own proving that his offspring accomplishments were not by chance. He is a great horse to be around and out produces himself every time. Jack has 3 AQHA performing offspring. Many of his other foals have gone on to be great rodeo horses or rope horses competing and earning money in different associations. Haumea should have the size, speed and ability to be a nice rope horse prospect or ranch horse. We are excited about this cross! She will be N/N by parentage.
