We are a production agricultural operation spanning 64,000 acres of rangeland as well as 350 acres of irrigated ground. We run 500 mother cows, 1000 yearlings, harvest hay, and provide world class outdoor adventures aimed at pursuing the hearts of adults in order to further the mission of Young Life in telling kids about Jesus. This position would be involved in all aspects of our operation. The focus would be on farming and hay production from April through September. This position is responsible for • Providing leadership and direction for our irrigation position • Maintaining and implementing our irrigation systems which include pivots, wheel line, hand line, big guns, and k-line irrigation systems. • Maintaining all perennial fields as well as harvesting hay. • Our harvest operation which includes 1-2 cuttings of hay with a production goal of 750 ton of hay across 350 acres. This position will also be heavily involved in our cattle operation. From October through March you will be assisting our ranch supervisor, who is responsible for the cattle portion of our operation. You will help move cattle on horse back and ATV, feed cattle, maintain fences, deliver supplements, process cattle, brand, ship, doctor, and assist in calving. You will also be asked to fill some of these roles during the summer months.
