This individual will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing the water infrastructure that supports our cattle operation. This role is critical to the health and productivity of the herd, ensuring all pastures and pens have consistent access to clean, reliable water year-round. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and understands the importance of cattle hydration in a large-scale ranching environment. Key Responsibilities: Water System Management - Inspect and monitor all water systems daily, including drinkers, tanks, solar systems, pipelines, and pumps -Diagnose and repair leaks, mechanical issues, or system failures - Maintain water lines, valves, and connections across varied terrain and weather conditions - Ensure proper flow rates and water quality throughout the system Infrastructure Maintenance - Maintain equipment such as generators, pressure pumps, and holding tanks - Keep records of daily water checks, repairs, and issues - Ensure infrastructure is safe, clean, and accessible Support of Ranch Operations - Coordinate with ranch management and cattle crews to ensure water availability aligns with cattle movements and pasture rotations - Assist with maintenance of roads, fencing, and ranch facilities as needed - Operate ATVs, trucks, and heavy equipment to access remote locations Qualifications: - Experience: Ranch experience or previous work with water systems preferred - Skills: Basic mechanical knowledge, plumbing, and equipment operation - Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail - Comfortable working alone in remote areas and variable weather conditions - Ability to lift 5 pounds and work extended hours as needed - Valid driver’s license required Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience - Housing provided - Health insurance - Life insurance - Opportunity to work on one of the largest cattle ranches in the Southwest with a committed and experienced team About Diamond A Ranch: Diamond A Ranch is a legacy ranching operation located in Northern Arizona, running a large scale cattle operation across a vast and remote landscape.
