🔥Ranch / Breakaway



Dakota is a 15 year old mare. Selling as grade. Stands 14.2hh. This little mare has a lot of life left in her. I bought her as my beginner horse, re-learning to ride and rope after 30 years of being away from the horse world. Now it’s time for me to get a step up horse.



She has been used for feedlot and ranch work. Gathering, sorting, alley/bud box work, and has drug calves to the fire. She’s been used in Breakaway and has been taken to jackpots and amateur rodeos. She occasionally get fidgety/antsy in the box but nothing dangerous.



She gets along well with other horses. Loads good, picks up all feet, good with baths, good in stall or out with other horses. Not mare-ish. She’d be great for a confident youth rider or anyone looking for a solid partner.



Her one quirk is she doesn’t like the tapping in of nails when getting shoes on. So during summer months we give her a sedative and winter months it’s just trims so she stands just fine.
