If you are looking for a safe, well broke ranch gelding that is gentle enough for the entire family to ride, then take a look at Cadillac. He is a special horse, one that will tone it down and really take care of kids on his back or step it up and give an adult a fun ride. Cadillac has absolutely no buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and stays gentle whether you ride him every day or once a year. He is more of a push style horse, happy to walk all day long but he will easily step into a trot or lope if asked. Cadillac has been on one ranch pretty much his entire life, and was only sold because the man who owned the ranch had gotten to where he was no longer riding and didn’t want his horses wasting away in the pasture. He is a good size at 14.3hh, big enough to carry an adult yet not too far off the ground for the little kids or those who cannot mount a tall horse. He has been used for all phases of ranch work, including dragging calves, doctoring cattle out in the pasture, and sorting pairs. Cadillac is completely safe on the ground as well as in the saddle, with excellent ground manners. He is easy to catch, stands quietly tied, is good for the shoer, and loads and hauls well. He is not spooked or bothered by anything, even if the horses he is riding with get spooked he remains calm and steady. Cadillac rides well both in the arena and out in the pasture, and he rides just as good bareback with a halter as he does with a saddle and bridle. He is 17 years old but don’t let that scare you, he is sound and in good health and has always been well taken care of. Cadillac has been taught to travel out and cover some ground, he crosses water without a problem, and he will go up, over, or through anything you point him at. He will ride out alone as well as with a group, and has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $5500.
