I’m 24, athletic, and green as grass. But when you look at me, you might think I don’t know what I’m getting into. I do. I know this is going to be hard work. I know that some days I’m going to finally make it home and wonder why I’m doing this. But let me tell you, that is starting a flame in my belly, that is starting to roar.



I’ve been doing roofing for the majority of the time since I left the navy. Working at Hardys or in an office doesn’t feel as fulfilling as rolling over after a hot day on the roof and seeing that brand new roof I put on. I did that. I might be beaten to my limit, but that feeling of pride can’t be matched.



I love to crack jokes. If I’m working and throwing jokes around, that means I’m extremely confident. But I know that human error and complacency are killers, and rules are written in blood. I came from a fast-paced environment for the last four years, and I want to keep it going.



I’m married, with no kids. I don’t need housing, and as long as there’s a pharmacy near, my wife has a job. We want to own a house near our workplace as soon as possible, so that’s my first priority - finding a house. Once I plant my feet, I don’t really party. I want knowledge and experience on how to run a ranch, so I’m starting at the bottom. Why do I want this? Well, I got out of the navy with the dream of starting a ranch, but realized I had no idea where to start. So this is me putting everything on red 6. If you want something for yourself, it’s not going to come to you. You have to go out and get it. So let’s let it ride.
