Only 1 job is being offered so, if a couple applies, the other person will need to work remotely or off premises. Bee Mountain Resort has 1-1/2 miles of frontage along the Brazos River south of Fort Worth, Texas and we run a unique, private “annual membership” campground located upstream from Lake Whitney. It’s a great recreational getaway for camping, boating, fishing, water sports and the occasional outdoor event. The property is normally busy during weekends and slow during the week. No residents live here other than our staff. We are locked and gated so there is no revolving door of strangers. No one gets in without a membership or confirmed reservation. Throughout the season, we share about 100 acres of riverfront bottomland with camping enthusiasts. Our old school approach, coupled with being locked, gated, private & restricted, brings out good people and families looking for a safe place to have fun. We have many long term relationships with customers and we appreciate the same with our staff. Bee Mountain Resort is offering a long-term, open-ended position with growth opportunities for the right person who is happy, friendly and dedicated to providing quality work. THE PRIMARY POSITION IS GROUNDSKEEPER. You will help maintain a beautiful campground on primitive, rugged river bottom land to include landscape & arborist work, mowing, heavy equipment operation, chainsaw operation, machinery maintenance & repairs, and maybe a little welding, etc. A wide set of skills will be helpful but they are not required. We are also clearing land, felling & processing unwanted trees, splitting firewood, brush hogging pastures, maintaining roads and we are beginning to develop a large lake from an old, un-reclaimed sand & gravel pit. This lake will give us a second major attraction/anchor for expanding business into new recreational markets and it should play an important role in agricultural development. I have a farmer who bales about 160 acres of hay but we don’t have animals yet. That said, I am open to your farm & ranch ideas which make sense and fit into our recreational brand. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person who will invest the hard work now to become a leader in a larger development. Being raised or currently working on a farm/ranch is appealing because of your multiple skill sets and good common sense for understanding what it takes to get the job done. This is not seasonal work. The hourly pay is negotiable and will be based on your abilities which fit our needs. We offer free 30 & 50 amp electric service, excellent water from a 500’ deep well, septic and trash service. However, there is no cabin, bunk house or trailer for accommodations so you will need to provide a suitable RV/camping trailer to live in. Lots of deer and turkey on the property and guided hunts are offered to paid hunters. You are welcome to hunt free doe and hog for meat in the freezer and you are encouraged to enjoy the property on your days off. We are located about an hour south of Fort Worth and only 16 miles from Cleburne, Texas (population 35k). Not too far from the city, with all the things you need, but far enough away to leave the rat race behind.
