Nitro - consigned by Maggie Blandford to the Colorado Horse Sale online auction July 11-15th. Bid at bid.coloradohorsesale.com



This is a big, strong, athletic horse that has a good handle on him, big stop, and can go all day! He stands at 16 hands, 1200 pounds, and wears a size 2 shoe.



Nitro is great on trails or gathering cows and has been used to pen back cows and help sort. He crosses water and logs, loads and trailers easily, and is great with dogs. He has had colts worked off of him, roped the hot heels, and been used to demonstrate horsemanship techniques. He stands patiently to mount or get a gate, will ride off quietly away from a herd, and then can cover some country as soon as he’s asked.

This horse has some quirks and will do best with a knowledgeable and experienced rider. He has been my go to mount for every job I have and has handled it all in stride. He is smart, athletic, and will make someone an excellent ranch partner!

He has some scars on his hocks that indicate a bad wreck at some point but has never taken a lame step with me. He sells up to date on coggins and vaccines and will come with a new set of shoes. Prepurchase exams available at the buyers expense, contact Megan Kelly at (406) 381-7355.
