Cowboys are Heroes’! your up at dawn, putting that saddle on, you care for livestock, you look out for each other, you have a passion for this way of life, your work can be hard with long hours and are very often gone as unappreciated unsung hero’s, not here, you are a hero, and are greatly appreciated! This ranch is a rural setting that comes with all the quiet and serene lifestyle one can ask for. Which also offers great fishing, scenery, hunting and a small friendly town that has a lot to offer. *This is not only a great opportunity for the right person, but a great place to call home and feel appreciated and welcomed* We are run large numbers of cattle that is located in the NE area of California bordering NW Nevada and the NE area of Oregon since the late 1800s. Applicant Must come with a good sense of humor, likes to laugh and enjoy this life.... have a deep understanding of the Cowboy way of life, be humble, be a team player, must follow and take instructions well, respects others, and come with a good attitude willing to learn new ways. Must be able to rope cattle out in large open country along with branding and come with some horse experience (this is not a trainer position!) will require a large amount of time in the saddle-doctoring cattle, gathering in pastures and in rocky mountainous areas and all that applies (prefer some experience riding in rough terrain) This is not a beginner position and is not an equine center (we will train in some areas, but must be able to rope, drag calves to fire and ride for long hours at a time, come with a good grasp on ranching. Are you one well mannered Cowboy that is familiar with ranching, is hard-working and takes pride in a job well-done? Then this is your fit. Prefer someone who can ride young horses (start colts along with the Cowboy crew) We allow up to 3-4 personal horses, we will provide feed but you must use your personal horses here on the ranch.
