SALE PENDING. I need to get this handsome boy moved ASAP so he is priced to sell quickly. Jay Fox Mescalero is a good looking 2006 red dun roan (carries both dun & roan genes) & is a son of Blue Jay Fox, out of a daughter of ABRA Res World Champion halter stallion & Buckskin Congress winner Skipa Sun Jack. Great lines on both sides for the arena or the ranch. Several folks have told me over the years that their colts from this cross were the best minded youngsters they’d ever had.

Here’s the deal & why I’ve priced him so low: this pasture breeding boy has had very limited handling & sells as is, where is. Not halter broke, but should be uncomplicated to train, even as an older horse—if I didn’t live 4 hours away from where he currently is, I’d have already done this to facilitate selling him. He’s in his everyday clothes & has not bred any mares in several years. I believe him to be sound to breed but he sells as is without guarantees. Generally mellow & good-minded, he has spent considerable time living out with other studs & geldings, and is turned out with another breeding stallion right now. He’s been loaded & hauled in a stock trailer with a little feed, without issue.

I’m under some pressure to get him moved as the property he’s on is going to be sold, so I’m hoping someone will appreciate the potential here. He could be a real asset to a program just starting out, or anyone wanting to put some good minded, colorful, chunky colts on the ground. Blue Jay Fox was one of the kindest, easiest studs I’ve ever worked with & his offspring tended to be the same way. Old school bloodlines that are getting harder to find, in a beautiful & uncommon color.
