My name is Jason Bonney, I am 38 years old and have been in the industry over 20 years. I have worked for commercial and pure bred outfits. I have spent most of my time cowboying in Texas, but spent some time in Idaho in some rough country for a big commercial outfit. I’m looking for a cowboy type job on a commercial ranch that works their cattle horseback and does things traditionally. I have managed a couple places and just been a normal hand. I have a great eye for cattle and I’m proficient in every aspect of the cow and know what to do in most every situation. I am handy with a horse and rope and can rope and doctor alone if need be.



I am relocating to the Idaho area early next year, around the end of Feb 2025. I know it’s a ways away but I am trying to get a head start, find the right ranch and right fit. Since I am currently in Texas I know it might take some time and a trip or 2 up to visit a place to make sure it’s the right fit for both parties. I’d like to be part of a ranch that allows me to use my experience and knows I don’t have to be micro managed. A camp type position or a position where I am taking care of a piece of country with a set of cows would be ideal, but as long as I can be horseback and work with cattle I can make some exceptions. I’d like to stay in Idaho, western Montana, Eastern Washington or Eastern Oregon.
