Looking for a small ranch that needs an all around hand. I would like to stay in Arizona but would be open to opportunities elsewhere. I’m 56 yrs old, retired from a 27 yr law enforcement career in 2017. Since then I’ve worked as a wrangler guiding trail rides, a ranch hand and a ranch Foreman, as well as having my own contracting/maintenance business. I have extensive experience with horses and consider myself a pretty decent ride though I’m not very sticky at times. I have experience with young horses doing a lot of groundwork and teaching the basics. I have some cattle experience as well as other livestock. I’m pretty good at identifying sickness as well as doctoring in cattle and horses. Can’t rope real well but I do know how to move cows and shut gates. I have a pretty extensive experience in maintenance and repair with some basic mechanical knowledge. I can also harness and drive a team and have packed mules in and out of hunting camp, although my packing skills are still pretty green.I’d like to find a position mostly working with horses and a small herd of cattle.



Remote living and working is fine as well. I’ve spent time in both the winters of Wyoming and the summers of Arizona so I’m accustomed to working in various weather conditions and environments. I’m definitely good not living close to town. I rarely drink, don’t smoke or do drugs. In pretty good physical condition for my age as well. I can hook up and pull a trailer, operate tractors and skid loaders as well.



I’m currently in Arizona and am looking for a position that may start in mid to late summer or early fall. I do have 2 young horses that are my projects, a Australian shepherd, a Pyrenees puppy and a cat. I’m open to paying a boarding fee for the horses and I will supply my own feed and hay. I also have my own tools both mechanicaland power tools, saddles and horse tack.
