Haying: 15years small squares Room And Board: Required Phone#: 724-718-8598 click to view fullsize image Description: I’m a single 26 year old woman with 2 horses and 3 dogs, looking to relocate from Pennsylvania to out west, preferably Wyoming, Montana, or Colorado I’m open to other states as well. I’d love to find a family Ranch that’d take me on long term but I won’t turn down a feedlot of dude ranch job, housing is required. I have limited ranch experience over the last 6 years from visiting and helping friends who work on a ranch in Alcova Wyoming. I recently spent 6 weeks there doing various things such as fencing, putting tubs and salt out, caking, breaking ice, sorting lates and moving to different pastures, processed new cattle, receiving truck loads from up north; and on prior visits helped gather for and assist in branding. While I may be new to ranching I’m no stranger to cattle. I’ve been in the dairy industry for 11 years, 6 of which I have been in a management position. I’m responsible for administering drugs, including IV’s, observing and treating the cattle dependent of their needs, working with the vet for weekly herd checks, moving cattle from barn to barn, and taking to summer pastures. In addition to the cattle side of the job I have experience with skid loaders and tractors. My family also has a small herd of Herefords that I help with. I’ve been riding for 15 years, primarily in the rodeo arena barrel racing, but I have dabbled in roping here and there. My one horse is currently getting rehabbed from an injury, and should be cleared for full work at the beginning of June. I might be green but I’m willing to learn if you’re open to teaching me, and I’m not afraid of a long hard days worth of work. I am still currently working and will need at least two weeks before starting so I can give my current employer a two weeks notice, and to have all the paperwork done for my horses cross state lines as well as travel time.
