Description:
Rico is a really nice registered strawberry roan gelding. He is absolutely gentle and will suit a lot of people. He rides around civilized and dead quiet. This guy has been on our place the last year so we know everything about him.

He’s been used on the ranch to gather and pen cows. You can prowl pastures on him. You can push cattle up the alley and load trucks on him. Or send grandpa out on him to spend the day riding fence lines. He’s also been ridden by youth riders when they were at the ranch. He will walk out on a loose rein all day long. He’s been hauled to several different ranches to work cattle.

Rico is a great trail horse as well. He’s solid and confident on the trails. He will ride though brush and trees. He will go up and down hills easily. He goes through water without an issue. He will cross a bridge. He has been ridden out alone a lot but has also been ridden in a group. He has been on a couple of huge organized week long rides with chuck wagons and hundreds of riders. He has been ridden down the road and isn’t bothered by cars going by. He’s been ridden around ATV’s, joggers, dogs, bicycles, tractors and our horse drawn buggies and never bats an eye at any of it.

Rico is prime age to make a fantastic performance horse. You could make him a ranch riding and ranch trail show horse easily. He really likes tracking a cow and has had a few roped and steer stopped on him. He will make a great rope horse if you wanted to continue in that direction. Or you could even take him the barrel racing route if that’s your thing. The sky is the limit on a horse like him because he is the perfect age, has an awesome mind, is very gentle, is a great size for lots of people and has the athletic ability to do anything you want to.

Rico has impeccable cowboy manners and stands well for the farrier. He has great stall manners. He tacks up quietly. He ties and cross ties. He loads and unloads like a gentleman. He’s an awesome young horse that’s ready to do whatever his new owner wants him to.
