Description:
Montana Agricultural Experiment Station is looking for a skilled lambing manager for their Red Bluff Research Station in Norris, MT from now until June 15th, 2024.



Take a lead role in organizing student labor, animal health supplies, barn facilities, and overall execution of lambing the flock of 300-400 ewes. Take a lead in collecting and recording lambing production records as well as working closely with the Livestock Operations Manager and provide daily updates and management decisions for the upcoming week.



The lambing manager should be hard working, self-motivated, attentive to the needs of the operation and be able to make self-driven decisions for the betterment of the sheep flock and the health of the lambs being born. The daily operations will consist of arriving early to take over actions of the night herder shift and prepare facilities for successful execution of daily activities.
