This position is eligible for CO Sick Pay. Location: Hesperus, CO This position does not include housing accommodations. The property is equipped with RV hookups if candidate would like to reside onsite. Job Summary: The Seasonal Ranch Guide is directly responsible for all guest services during tour season. This position is required to conduct guided tours both by foot and tractor ride. Perform general cleaning duties related to all public facing areas. The role will be directly responsible for creating a memorable experience for our guests at Tuxon Ranch. Ranch Guides will also assist barn management with daily chores as needed including the feeding, watering, cleaning and handling of horses and livestock and their stalls. This position has an expected start date of May 13th, 2024 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Guiding guests on walking and tractor tours - Ensure safety of all visitors on facility grounds - General cleaning of equipment i.e washing tractors, side by sides, wagon, etc. - General cleaning of facility grounds - Assisting Barn Supervisor and Ranch Hand with daily chores such as feeding, cleaning stalls, watering, and handling horses and livestock as needed - Assist with retail, food and beverage sales at the ranch - Other Duties as assigned. Education, Skill & Work Experience Requirements: - Proven experience in ag or equine industry - Ability to prioritize safety in all situations and encourage others to act in safe manner - Strong public speaking skills - Strong customer service skills to create a memorable experience for all guests - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment. - Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols - Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds - Maintain a clean driving record Work Environment: - Majority of time spent in a ranch or farm setting with uneven ground, heavy equipment/machinery operation, and livestock - Weekend and holiday work will be required on occasion Posted 04-01-24 2691 visitors have viewed this ad
