We grow alfalfa hay and row crops (corn, silage, pinto beans, oats) along with a cow/calf operation. Cattle work is done mostly on ATVs. Low stress handling of cattle is a must. We do table brandings, full vaccination and mineral program. We have a background lot and feed calves in the winter. This includes feeding, doctoring, vaccinating, and sorting. This is not a cowboy job, but we do a fair amount of work with cattle. In the summer months, we farm. Most of the acres are under pivot irrigation. Spring and fall are busy and have overlap of farming and cows. We are looking for a self motivated person who takes pride in their work. Must be able to pay attention to details and care. We have nice equipment and are very particular in how it is run. Must be able to drive tractors with and without GPS. Individual should take initiative and have common sense. Person must be humble enough to sweep and run grease gun along with being cable to handle bigger responsibilities like planting and harvesting. We are looking for someone who doesn’t need babysat and is capable managing their time and doing what needs to be done. Other responsibilities include: Fencing, Welding, light maintenance, drive a semi-truck (CDL plus but not required). Most Sundays off. Family friendly. There is a great K-12 school located in Shoshoni 20 miles away, Riverton is 30 miles away with most stores including Walmart, Smiths, and several restaurants and churches. Paid salary.
