You think it, and “Hot Shot” delivers! This sharp dressed man rocks the sorrel canvas with confidence, and don’t get me started on his big brown innocent eyes! They’re sure to make you melt.



If you are looking for versatility, both in and out of the arena, Hot Shot is the hottest ticket in town. He can drag calves to the fire in the morning, and then go lay down a smooth reining pattern in the afternoon. As an own son of COLONELS SMART SPOOK, and out of a daughter of GRAYS STARLIGHT, it’s not wonder he can operate. He is a HUGE STOPPER, and he absolutely loves doing it. All you have to do is pick your destination, send him there, think “whoa,” and let him take it from there! It doesn’t matter if you’re a first time stopper or a seasoned veteran, he will give you an honest try every time.



Not only can Hot Shot slide with the best, but he also knows how to earn an honest living. As a gracious, and humble, lesson mount he can read between the lines to take the very best care of his rider. And even though he has more buttons and fancy features than a typical lesson horse, he never surprises them with more than what they’re ready for.



On the ranch, he also earns his keep gathering big pastures, sorting, and dragging calves to the fire at the branding pen. Without hesitation he can peel off from the group and go off by himself. In fact he was a main mount for Teagan (9) and Wyatt (11) this past spring in the great wide open spaces of Wyoming and Montana. For nearly three weeks he kept them safe and accounted for! Roping on him in the branding pen is even easy for me… and that’s saying something!! His maneuverability and level headed ways help keep my nerves in check and the herd quiet.



Teagan loved him out west, and she was the first to call dibs on him when it was show time! Get him cleaned up and Hot Shot shines like a new penny! His steady way of going and pretty movement make him an undeniable horse in the show pen. Teagan showed him in ranch trail, ranch pleasure, ranch riding, and reining. As the youngest one in the pen, she was pulling down top 3 placings left and right. The grand finale had to be their unanimous champion titles of both the youth and OPEN reining! They plused all their stops, had awesome speed and lead changes and cadenced spins. I believe Hot Shot created an adrenaline junky out of Teagan after those victories!



Regardless of what scene you put him in, Hot Shot will adapt effortlessly and look great doing it. Bridle-less, bareback, double, English or Western, he is equally comfortable and confident. I almost forgot to mention his mad showmanship skills! He has been working on those and he is a natural. With the lightest signals he will walk, trot, back, pivot and set his feet… So the next time he goes to a show, add showmanship to the list.



When it comes to deworming, clipping, bathing, farrier work or vaccinations, Hot Shot is a pure gentleman. Come meet him for yourself and you’ll see how easy he is to love!
