Hiring 2 positions now - Working Couple Wanted- Full-Time Groundskeeper/Hired Hand & Part-Time Camp Host - 350 acre Texas riverfront camping resort.

Bee Mountain Resort is a beautiful 350 acre property with 1-1/2 miles of frontage along the Brazos River. We are a private “annual membership” campground located upstream from Lake Whitney, Texas. Our property is a great recreational getaway for camping, boating, fishing, water sports and the occasional outdoor event. Normally, we are pretty slow during the week because customer activity generally occurs on weekends and because we have no residents other than staff.

We are a locked and gated community so there is no revolving door of strangers. No one gets in without a membership or a confirmed reservation. Throughout the season, camping enthusiasts share about 100 acres of riverfront bottomland with us; and our old school approach, coupled with private annual memberships, tends to bring out good people and families. We have quite a few long term relationships with customers and we definitely appreciate the same with our staff. Bee Mountain Resort is offering the right couple a long-term, open-ended position so long as you are happy, friendly and dedicated to providing quality work.

Besides maintaining property and supporting recreational campers when visiting, we are also clearing land and have begun working toward developing a big lake from an old, un-reclaimed sand & gravel pit. This will give us a second major attraction/anchor for expanding business into new recreational markets as well as playing a vital role in agriculture. I have a farmer who bales about 160 acres of hay but we don’t have animals. That said, I am open to your farm & ranch ideas which make sense and fit the brand. Being raised on and/or currently working on a farm or ranch should make for a good fit because of your multiple skill sets and good common sense and understanding for what it takes to get the job done.

The hourly pay is negotiable and will be based upon your abilities and our needs. We offer free 30 & 50 amp electric service, excellent water from a 500’ deep well, septic and trash service. However, there are no cabins or bunk houses for accommodations yet so you will need to provide a suitable camper/RV for your living space. We have deer and turkey on the property and guided hunts are offered to customers. You are welcome to hunt free doe and hog for meat.

We are located about an hour south of Fort Worth and only 16 miles from Cleburne, Texas (population 35k). Not too far from the city with all the things you need but plenty far enough to leave the rat race and white noise behind.
