Room & Board: Possibly Phone #: 970-306-5152 click to view fullsize image Description: We are looking to hire one seasonal, full-time wrangler and one seasonal part-time wrangler starting in May 2024, and going into the fall on a private ranch in Eagle, CO. If you like riding, guiding trail rides, and taking care of horses, this could be your dream job! We feed, care for, and exercise the horses, facilitate safe and enjoyable trail rides and equine experiences for guests, and help out around the ranch with whatever else is needed. Must have: -Extensive experience riding and caring for horses (prior wrangling and lesson teaching experience preferred) -Excellent customer service and prior job experience in a customer-service related field -Strong work ethic and self-motivated -Able to work a physically demanding 40-hour week in all weather conditions, mostly outside, with a lot of time on your feet or in the saddle -Able to mount/ dismount easily and lift up to 60lbs regularly -Safety conscious (first aid/ CPR certification preferred) -Excellent teamwork and communication skills -"Can do" + "Go with the flow" attitude -Enthusiasm for your work -Openness to constructive feedback and a love for learning -Willingness to work weekends and help out with other ranch or event tasks as needed -Driver’s license and clean driving record (experience driving trailers preferred) -Competitive pay based on experience, 5 days on 2 days off per week -18 years and up and we do check background and references We are a small team, and work hard, but this is such a fun and rewarding summer job where you will gain experience riding a variety of horses on incredible trails, helping and coaching beginner and experienced riders on the trail and in the arena, learning new skills in caring for horses, working in a pleasant and respectful service environment, operating small equipment, and helping on a working agricultural ranch!
