This is the most kind, sweet, and gentle soul you have ever been around and absolutely gorgeous to boot! This fairytale horse has been used right alongside our ranch horses for every day jobs! He has been ridden for early morning shipping, riding pens and gathering big draws of cattle. Mike has also drug calves and been used to load some pretty big bulls in the trailer. We have also used him extensively to pony and break some colts! Mike, as we call him, has also been rode by a dressage rider and has all the promise to excel in that field if you wish to go that way. Mike is also broke to drive single and double and is super easy to hook up and drive! ◦ Mike’s personality and PERFECT manners will have you at hello! He is NOT your typical pushy or strong draft; he is mannerly and very respectful on and off his back! Mike rides like a little horse, he has a stop like your favorite quarter horse and lopes around wine glass smooth! This horse is so easy and comfortable to ride, he floats across the ground and has an effortless cadence. He is soft everywhere one should be and easy for our kiddos to guide around anywhere they want to go. Mike has babysat many beginner riders through the Palo Dura Canyons, and Canadian River. He is safe around all kinds of 4 wheelers, side-by-sides, semis, and all heavy machinery. Mike is accustomed to several dogs going out on rides with us and we think he could be a phenomenal candidate to fox hunt on! Mike also crosses water, rocky terrain, and down timber with ease. He rides, bareback, double triple, bridless, English, western, and of course pulls any size wagon. ◦ Big Mike has had months off and when we catch him and saddle him up there is no nonsense and he saddles up like the gentleman he is and goes right to work without a single qualm. He has never gotten fresh and there is not a single vice to him whatsoever! Speaking of catching him, if you turn Mike out in 50 acres he will still meet you at the gate every single day whether it’s to go to work or just for a little love he’s there for it. ◦ I can’t say enough about this magical horse, everyone in our barn and everyone that has been around Mike simply just adores him.
