Description:
Cow-calf and yearling operation is seeking an experienced individual to join our team to assist with management of several thousand yearlings and cows on a diverse set of ranches in Northern California and Northern Nevada. This is a do-it-all job that requires a range of skills – including competence horseback with a rope, mechanical aptitude, and the capacity to help manage complex inventory, forage resources and herd health in multiple locations. The work will be focused primarily on cattle but your abilities and insight with infrastructure repair and development would be vital.

In California we operate on the edge of the SF Bay Area, with traffic and public recreation that demand a higher level of attentiveness and rapid problem solving. In Nevada we run on extensive high-desert rangeland 2 hours from a gas station. The work would require seasonal relocation between states – for winter grass in California and summer cow work in Nevada.

This is a unique position with a substantial amount of responsibility and limited day-to-day oversight from ownership. For the right person, it presents an intellectual challenge and an opportunity to work in diverse and complementary ecosystems.
