She is a good looking 10 year old red roan mare, 14.3hh and nicely built with plenty of chrome. She has 3 white socks and a big blaze face, and a pretty head with a kind eye. Fancy is gentle with excellent ground manners, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, or take off. She spent the majority of her life on one ranch in West Texas, being used for all phases of ranch work and also being hauled to some local jackpots on the weekends to rope steers. Fancy has been roped off of in the pasture, doctored cattle, and sorted pairs. She has an excellent one handed neck rein, a good stop, and a light mouth. She has had to work for a living for most of her life, and has been taught to travel out and cover some ground. She has a motor and plenty of go when you ask her for it, but will also walk quietly on a loose rein when you don’t. Fancy will sidepass, work a gate, move off your leg, and is good on both leads. She is not mare-ish and can be pastured with, hauled with, or tied next to other mares and geldings without any issues. Fancy is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problems, and isn’t spooky. She is very sure footed and will go up, over or through anything you point her at. She would be suitable for a handy youth or an intermediate adult, and you can trust her to take good care of any kids who might want to mess with her. Fancy will ride out alone as well as with a group, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group while riding. She has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
