Meet King - ( original stall name Heff)

We purchased King from the “Art of the Cowgirl” Elite Sale about 12 months ago. Please see King’s original ad below in the photos. We bought him to do ranch sorting competitions but he didn’t love it and bucked at the first clinic we went to. After he bucked, we consulted with the trainer who sold him, Tiffany Mclaury The trainer, Tiffany McLaury assured the behavior was very out of character. Regardless, there is no sense in forcing the horse to do competitive cattle sorting if he doesn’t enjoy it. He wants to please and is the most athletic horse we have ever owned. At times that desire to make you happy means he can overreact and pull back when tied, if startled. This has only happened 3-4 times since we have owned him. We have learned ways to work him through reacting that way and it hasn’t happened again in months. He is amazing at obstacles and will pretty much go over anything or through anything. King is one of the most athletic horses we have ever owned! His speed and stamina and ability to turn his body could make him an excellent prospect at barrels, roping, cutting or just riding fence line at the ranch. With that said, he could use more life experience and new environments. He was bred on the well-known Tongue River Ranch and spent tons of time riding on the 6666’s. While not a beginner’s horse, this guy will be amazing with more life experience. 



We considered placing him in additional training, but sadly we have to let him go due to some other life demands.
