Description:
Johnny Cash is an 11 year old ranch gelding that has been there and done that. He is proficient in all aspects of ranch work. He is well broke, super gentle and easy to get along with.

Super gentle, not spooky, doesn’t freshen up. Brave and confident on trails and in new places. Not buddy sour or barn sour. Rides out alone with confidence. Has a smooth slow jog that you can sit. He has more whoa than go and makes him a great confidence builder and easy for beginner level riders to ride. I’ve had all the kids and beginner adults ride Johnny over the holidays and he was absolutely perfect. I’ve even let a 15 year old girl who has never been on a horse take photos in a ball gown for her Quinceanera. He is dog gentle to be around.

In the arena he pick up his leads, he side passes, stops easy. I wouldn’t recommend him for speed events or as a performance horse, because he’d rather walk than run. He does however walk out nicely on trails with a good ground covering walk and doesn’t lag behind.

He is sound, no maintenance required. This is a super nice gelding that is dog gentle and is an excellent family, trail and ranch gelding. He is a true black and stays black.
