She is an 18 year old thoroughbred mare, but don’t let her age fool you! Annie is sound and has plenty of go, and loves to be ridden. She is 15.2 hh, with a pretty face and a kind eye. She has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch, great for the shoer, and can be pastured with, ridden with, and hauled next to both mares and geldings without any issues. Annie has been ridden both English and Western, and in her younger days played quite a bit of polo. More recently she has been used as a trail horse, and it doesn’t matter where you point her or what you ask her to do, she will do it willingly. Annie has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and doesn’t need to be ridden every day to stay gentle. She rides quietly on a loose rein, but is responsive and will easily step into a trot or lope when asked. She has a very smooth trot and rocking horse lope, will do flying lead changes, and has an excellent one handed neck rein and stop. Annie rides well in both the arena and the pasture, and a handy kid could have a lot of fun on her, and she would probably make a fun little playday horse too. She will ride out alone as well as with a group, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group while riding. She has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $1500.
