Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to be a part of the Mill team at our South Feedlot, located in Broken Bow, Nebraska. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically-inclined individual with an interest in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a facility.







This person will be responsible for:







Setting and starting up the mill and flaker.



Performing quality control checks on mill and flaker items, such as dry matters, flake weights, water, and fine High Moisture Corn (HMC), making any necessary adjustments needed, and contacting the manager if major adjustments are necessary.



Becoming the "go to" person or "feed mill authority" on a majority of the mill and flaker operations and procedures.



Utilizing the mill computer and software to schedule loads.



Ensuring all safety processes are properly followed.



Troubleshooting and monitoring software programs.



Maintaining and inventorying all micro ingredients and dry corn.



Following all applicable FDA rules and guidelines and completing all proper documentation with integrity.



Completing all necessary documentation and work orders, in addition to quality and production logs and end of day paperwork.



Assisting with project planning, preventative maintenance and basic repairs.



Assisting with general mill housekeeping and cleanliness.



Assisting with shift startup meetings.



Assisting with the operation of the pay loader, if needed.







Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:







Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Comco, and MicroBeef are beneficial.



Experience or interest in mill and flaker operations.



Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.



Commitment to safety and quality culture.



Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.



High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.



Driven, organized, and punctual.



Individual must be team oriented.



Excellent verbal and written communication.







This position requires:







Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.



Individual must be able to perform maintenance and inspections at the top of grain bins/elevators and flaker.



Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing and sitting frequently; walking, carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally.







Compensation Details:







$20.00-$25.00 per hour



$2,500 Hiring Bonus
