If you are looking for a really broke, fun horse to ride on the ranch or take on trails, something good looking enough to grab everyone’s attention when you ride by, then take a look at Sundance. He is a stout, beautiful 12 year old buckskin gelding, 15.1 hh with a ton of shape and that good cowboy color. He is big boned with a good size foot, and plenty of personality. Sundance came off of a ranch in North Texas, where he was used to ride pastures, check fences, sort cattle and pony colts. He was purchased 3 years ago by a family friend, who only used him to periodically ride around his ranch. He’s too good of a horse to sit around and go to waste, so he is looking for a new owner to enjoy him. Sundance is a blast out on the trails. He is sure footed, crosses water with no problem, and will go up, over or through anything you point him at. He rides quietly on a loose rein, never going any faster than you ask him to, but is plenty responsive when you want him to be. Sundance is very well broke with an excellent neck rein, knows his leads, stops easily, and will work off leg pressure. He has been taught to travel out and cover some ground, and will happily ride in the front, middle, or rear of the pack. He has been on huge multi-day trail rides with wagons, flaggers, and all the commotion that goes along with that, and nothing bothers him or spooks him. Sundance has excellent ground manners, is perfect for the ferrier, will stand quietly tied, and loads and hauls well. He gets along great with other horses, will ride out alone as well as with a group, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group while riding.
