She is an easy keeper with great feet and does not have to be shod. She is extremely gentle, sweet & very well-mannered. Neakita is built nicely with excellent conformation. She is a once-in-a-lifetime mare with a huge heart. Neakita is very willing to please her rider with anything you want to do, as shown in the video. She has such a unique, beautiful coat with a personality to match! She is more "whoa" than "go," but she will trot, lope circles, or canter for you by asking a few times to pick up the pace. She follows at liberty and will follow you everywhere you go once you become her best friend. Neakita is a good leader for the group or will follow along in the back. She is beginner-safe and has been ridden by ages 7 to early 80s, as shown in the video. She’s been wonderful with our other horses & doesn’t mind our dogs. Neakita is a trail deluxe! She is very sure-footed & fearless through any terrain she faces on the trails. With Neakita, you can relax on the trails & just let her take care of you. Any direction you point her, she will willingly go. She will cross creeks, ditches, up and down hills, ponds, rocks, logs, and bridges. She is great with traffic, trains, 4-wheelers, giant statues, motorcycles, large groups of cyclists that pass by often, tractors, side-by-sides, joggers, and fireworks. She has been very desensitized! She is the type of mare that has seen and done it all! She is very trustworthy! We have done mounted shooting and swung a giant ball around her while standing on her back. She will not walk out from under you. We trust her so much even kids shoot fireworks off her while standing on her back. She is a great babysitter! We have even taken her to drive-thrus, and she is very patient at the window while we wait. She stands patiently for mounting or dismounting with or without a mounting block. Neakita has been a big help on the ranches we’ve taken her to, gathering cows and helping doctor calves. She also has experience in the feedlot. We have taken Neakita to playdays with friends at the rodeo, and she is amazing with the kids and activities. She will do the barrels or poles; you can drag anything with her, carry the flag, and rope off her. There’s nothing this mare won’t do for her rider! She’s an absolute joy to be around and a true unicorn! She is easy to catch in the pasture with or without a feed bucket. She is great with the farrier. Neakita neck reins, has a nice stop, and nice reverse, is soft in the mouth, knows her commands, and listens well. You can ride her bareback or with the saddle. If she feels you are about to slip off, she stops for you to re-adjust. She rides in a floating spade bit, which she loves. She is easy to bathe, brush, good with fly spray, and stands patiently to tack up. She leads and loads in the trailer willingly and stands tied quietly. She is not mare-ish at all, and that’s another thing we’ve loved about her! You have to look to know she’s not a gelding. We have enjoyed Neakita so much, and now she is ready for her forever home!
