Description:
Large cattle operation located in Southwest Missouri is seeking an experienced cattleman to care for 200 head on pasture near Sallisaw, Oklahoma.



Duties would include rotating cattle on pasture, feeding, riding and mending fence, tagging calves, doctoring any sick or injured cattle and being our eyes and ears for this location. You must be trustworthy, dependable, able to follow instruction, know cattle and their behaviors in order to quickly identify sick or injured and be able to communicate regularly with our Herd Manager, Farm/Nutrition Manager and the owner.



We will provide a feed truck to use at this location, all the feed and supplies needed to tend to this herd. You will provide your knowledge and experience as well as a good horse. We follow a strict program on doctoring and feeding and expect you to do the same.



Ideal candidate will be able to provide references, have a clean driving record, must be drug/alcohol free and have proven experience with cattle.



Our crew comes down from our headquarters periodically when its time to preg check, wean calves and work the herd. We try to make this a great day of fellowship and hard work. You play a key part in making this happen.



Housing is not provided. This is not necessarily a full-time position... winter months of course require daily feeding and tending - and as the summer months move in and the grass is green... it becomes more of a part time job.
