Description:
Elder Ranch, a generational family operation, is hiring for a Ranch Foreman (Manager in training). This is a full-time position, headquartered in Riverside, Oregon. The Ranch Foreman is responsible for the daily execution of the ranch plan and to prepare himself for the role of Ranch Manager.

Elder Ranch achieves the profitable production and sale of beef cattle utilizing a low-input model and innovative approaches to breeding, feeding, grazing, and marketing. Integrity, honesty, and a passion for caring for God’s creations are of the utmost importance. Open mindedness and a willingness to try practices outside of the mainstream ranching philosophy are what Elder Ranch has thrived on and is looking for in a team member.



Position Duties and Responsibilities

● Contribute to the manager’s establishment of an annual production plan

● Provide seasonal operation plans to fulfill the annual production plan

● Personally manage personnel, equipment, and available funds on a daily basis to fulfill seasonal operations plan

● Maintain the Projects Master Plan, along with the managers, to ensure clear communication and timely completion of projects

● Establish and maintain safety standards for all operations

● Be prepared to spend approximately 20% of your time in the office while the remainder of your time will be in the field



Ranch Foreman Requirements

● Demonstrated course of study in cattle ranching

● 5 years experience in ranching environment with a record of advancement

● Demonstrated success in the supervision of employees

● Demonstrated financial and time budgeting effectiveness

● “Foreman” rating on the Model Ranch Management Track assessment
