If you are looking for a well broke horse that is nice to look at, won’t buck you off, and that rides the way a ranch horse should ride, then take a look at Nacho. He is a cute 16 year old bay gelding, 14.3 hh and nicely built with tons of chrome. He knows what it means to put in a days work, and he is as honest as they come, never offering to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off. Nacho is the real deal, the type of horse everyone is searching for and having a hard time finding. He spent his entire life on one ranch out in West Texas before we bought him. The day we picked him up he came riding out of the pasture with two goats tied to him, and he couldn’t have cared less. He has been used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, roping sheep and goats, dragging calves to the fire, and checking fence. Nacho is gentle and stays that way even if not ridden regularly. He is sure footed and very careful where he steps, and will go up, over, or through anything you point him at. He would be an excellent horse for a weekend rancher that wants something safe to go check cattle on, or even for a handy little cowboy to learn how to work on the ranch with dad or grandpa. Nacho is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He has a very good neck rein and stop, is good on both leads, and will sidepass and work a gate. He is content to walk quietly all day long, never going faster than you ask him to, but will easily step into a troto or lope when asked. He can be ridden by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Nacho has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $5500.
