Fitting? Absolutely! Bluey stands 16 hands tall and weighs roughly 1700 pounds. He has excellent hard black feet and gets along barefoot perfectly. He is a gem for the farrier, picks up his feet nicely, and stands quietly no matter how long it takes, which is a perk with feet as big as his! Bluey is THE sweetest, most puppy dog like gelding you could ever ask for! He will meet you out in the middle of the pasture just to see what you’re doing and leave the herd to follow you back to the barn. He is absolutely LOADED with personality and is so much fun to interact with. He’s truly one who prefers your company to that of his pasture mates. Bluey is a phenomenal trail horse and will cross anything you point him at. Downed trees, holes in the ground, creeks and streams, and maneuvers through an obstacle course with ease! He has been on overnight camping trips and hauled to both indoor, and outdoor arenas and is cool as a cucumber regardless of his environment. Blue has drug his fair share of calves to the branding fire, he has gathered big pastures, moved pairs to fresh grass, and doctored sick calves in the fall. He is well versed on the ranch and rides well both in a group and off on his own. You don’t have to worry about him trying to make his way back to the barn or whinnying for a friend. You can simply sit back, and enjoy a peaceful ride with a one of a kind gelding who loves the ride just as much as you do. He is truly a fantastic option for a family looking for a safe, gentle, broke gelding to share. He has packed riders young and old and everything in between. Bluey is the kind who will accommodate to match his rider, regardless of their abilities.
