Description:
IX Ranch Co is a large commercial cow/calf operation located in N central Montana. We are looking for someone to aide in the company growth and profitability by responsibly handling day to day operations at the NL and Bear Paw Springs (BPS) divisions’. The NL is located approximately 30 miles SE of Big Sandy and accessible by county road (gravel).



Duties include but are not limited to leading/overseeing one or more employee(s) depending on the time of year and daily activity. All aspects of animal husbandry w/ excellent stockmanship is a must. Monitor grazing/water conditions as well as herd health. Cattle work is done horseback, we have several broodmares and raise our own horses, the right candidate should have the ability to start/ride colts and shoe horses as well. Mechanical, welding, maintenance and carpentry skills a plus,fencing as well as irrigation (flood, wheel line and pivots) and haying. Accurately keep and maintain records utilizing the ranches programs and the ability to follow company policies and guidelines a must. Also necessary are good communication and personal skills as well as the ability to be a team player, flexibility is key. Able to obtain BQA certification.



Spouse to cook for the bunkhouse. Beef as well as meal expense reimbursement provided. Other opportunities may exist for the spouse as well. Family friendly! Housing, utilities, ranch vehicle, up to date and modern/ well maintained equipment, insurance, cell phone and computer also provided. Two personal horses allowed but must be used, no stallions.
