Description:
The Bar NI Ranch, a large private guest ranch, is looking for a wrangler to join their barn team! This positions is available from mid-June through mid-August.



Wranglers at the Bar NI Ranch are expected to not only guide guests safely on horseback on backcountry trail rides and in the arena for basic riding lessons and activities, but they also must have the experience necessary to ride and train young horses and/or horses that may need some tuning. We practice natural horsemanship techniques and expect that our wranglers will implement those into their riding and training as well under the direct supervision of our head wrangler. It is important the individuals in these positions are in excellent physical condition (able to lift 50 lbs routinely). It is important that they are able to mount and dismount horses in the backcountry without any assistance. Other wrangler duties may include driving a team of horses on guest wagon rides, fence building and other barn/corral maintenance projects, bucking and stacking bales of hay, cleaning horse stalls and corrals, tack cleaning and maintenance and any other related duties assigned by the head wrangler. Effective, efficient communication with other staff and our guests is important. Work days can be long in all types of weather conditions with varying days off. We do require all applicants to provide a recent (within 30 days of applying) video clip of them mounting and dismounting and riding all gates on horseback. Compensation includes a monthly salary, share of tips, performance based season end bonus, shared housing (no pets please) and meals. All applicants must pass a thorough background check before being hired.
