This is an historic, privately owned & operated Wyoming Ranch. Owned by the same family for five generations. Used by the owners for recreation, hiking, horseback riding and fishing. The ranch also grazes horses and raises hay. The ranch crew lives and works together to provide exceptional care of the ranch owners. Working and living on this remotely located property offers a lifetime of unique experiences in the wild Wyoming landscape. The ranch is very remote, so staff must enjoy a quiet, ranch setting. It is a beautiful mountain location with access to thousands of acres of private and public land for hiking, fishing, and exploring. The ranch is close to the NE entrance to Yellowstone National Park and 1.5 hours from Cody, Wy and Red Lodge, MT. The Ranch does have an opportunity for a couple. Requirements: Excellent problem solving skills High level of plumbing skills Light electrical Light carpentry Light mechanical Ability to interact with multiple members of the owner’s family. Must be able to work well as part of the crew, and independently. Ability to weld is nice but not required Primary responsibilities include: Open/close and maintain all seasonal buildings. 17 Cabins and 3 Lodges Maintain non-seasonal buildings. 3 Houses Open/close and maintain multiple ranch water systems (domestic and Lawn) Wells/springs Pumps Water lines Additional responsibilities include. Grounds/Lawn Maintenance Tree removal Helping with mowing and watering lawns as needed Help with other ranch work. Vehicle Maintenance and small engine repair Fence repair Haying The ranch crew works together, with flexibility and excellent communication skills to maintain a positive attitude in all situations. We promote a lighthearted, fun atmosphere and do not care for drama. The ranch provides a work truck and all equipment required, tools etc. Monthly salary, all meals and private living quarters with a private bath are provided. Position starts May 1st and ends Sept 29th, 2023. Previous ranch experience is preferred, and excellent people skills are required.
