Description:
Rocky- Grade 14yr old Appaloosa Gelding. 15.2 hands. If you are looking for a unicorn of a horse here you go! He is an absolute go-to horse for beginners or novice riders. Gentle, safe and reliable, and did we mention SWEET and FLASHY?. Very patient disposition and enjoys people and horses. He has been shown in 4-H and open horse shows in horsemanship, western pleasure and halter. He is a true gentleman on the trails. He’s been on many overnight camp-out trail rides and social events. He doesn’t spook at wildlife and is good around dogs. Lopes out of his tracks collected every time you ask him, stops every time you ask him too. Stand patiently with a step stool or from the ground to mount or dismount. Easy to catch in a stall or turned out. Easy to shoe, trim or bathe. Loves people and attention. Easy to groom and likes treats. Very trustworthy and safe gelding for all level and age riders. Rides bareback, bridless or with just a halter and lead. Does good with the farrier and is easy to work with when cleaning his feet. Solid tried and true gelding that’s broke for all ages. No bad habits or vices. Has an old scar on left hind from a fence injury that happened years ago, doesn’t affect his ride ability in any way, although we want him to go to a home where he won’t have to be used heavily in the mountains.In the arena, and out on trails he’s amazing but climbing a lot of steep hills on a regular basis is not idea for him. Recently had a vet look at it and had a basic pre-purchase. Vet doesn’t feel that it affects his ability to be ridden on the trails and in arena. That report will go with him. He is a fantastic gelding that deserves his forever home for anyone to enjoy. You could spend a lifetime looking for this horse with this temperament and so so broke! They just don’t make them like him anymore!
