Description:
“Hooey” is a 10 year old quarter pony gelding. This is a ranchy kid’s dream pony. He is stout and very comfortable carrying a normal sized adult. Easy keeper, no injuries and no maintenance. He got started in the breakaway this last year and has been my practice horse since. I have an absolute blast roping on him. He is also lightly started in the barrels and it would not take much at all to finish him there. I have hauled him everywhere, I just have not entered him. I check cows on him, open and close gates, and take him through anything and everything. He loves to work and will go all day long. He’s only for sale because I’m starting vet school in August and my pasture is just too full. He’s too good to sit and not be used. Hooey stands right at 13.2 and is solid as a brick. Has a great stop and is super quick footed. Does not have the pony attitude. This little guy is strong with a lot of heart and try.



Hooey is not as trusting as most. He is not mean or dangerous by any means. He is sweet as could be but has a hard time trusting people. Does not pull back, kick, or act stupid in any way. He’s the same whether you ride him everyday or turn him out for a month. He will need an intermediate to experienced rider that will be soft and understanding with him. Him and I have a special bond and I will be very picky about who he ends up with. This is an awesome pony. He makes a great practice horse and would make a jam up rodeo/jackpot pony if someone has the time to haul him. Take him to the arena or work on him in the pasture, he will keep up with the big horses all day long. Located in Pleasant Hill, MO. Text or call for videos and more info
